A truly multi-disciplinary practice….

So, it is my turn this week (Eleni’s) to do a blog post and in thinking about what would interest our readers (especially this close to Christmas!) I thought I would try a more generalised post than something specialised/too heavy to read amongst the Christmas parties.

It was then my thoughts turned to how many positive comments we, as a company, get about being a truly multi-disciplinary practice.  When I go to networking events it hits me how much we can do all from one office and, to be honest, I probably sound like I’m joking saying “Oh, G Herbert Banks, yes we are estate and letting agents, auctioneers, planning consultants, valuers……” and the list goes on.  I usually get the response; “you do all that, from one office?!”.  The thing is we don’t dabble – we truly are well placed, and most importantly qualified and insured, to deal with any of those matters which I list.

Our days are highly varied..

By way of example – our days are highly varied.  In the last week alone I have undertaken eight valuations for the voluntary right to buy scheme on behalf of Rooftop Housing and Fortis Living, prepared a planning application for submission, attended a site meeting with a conservation officer in relation to a scheme for five residential barn conversions, sold (subject to contract) a large dwelling and land for a local authority, finalised a compensation claim against Severn Trent for a local estate and started negotiating a new Farm Business Tenancy for another estate that I manage.  That’s valuation, planning, compulsory purchase, a sale and landlord and tenant – in one week.

We can deal with the vast majority of matters..

I think the above shows how varied my role is, as well as that of our team, and demonstrates how well placed we are to deal with the vast majority of your property matters as well as working with professionals such as accountants and solicitors.

That can only lead me to conclude that if you, or anyone you know, needs help with a property or land matter (but not a building survey, we aren’t building surveyors, but we do know some good ones we can give you the details of!) we are genuinely a great port of call and would love to hear from you.
